Customised shielding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][systron_generalboxes]Thanks to the use of professional software such as 3D CAD \/ 3D FEM and our own production, Systron is able to design and manufacture complex, customer-specific shieldings. Two reference projects are presented below.[\/systron_generalboxes][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][systron_generalboxes box_color=&#8221;general-color&#8221; left_general=&#8221;Title&#8221; box_left_title=&#8221;Shielding box for precision balance at Straumann&#8221;]An analyser for the determination of mass change, which contains a precision balance, is considerably disturbed by external magnetic fields at Straumann in Basel. Measurements showed that extreme near-DC changes of up to 19 \u00b5T occur. The source was found to be tram power lines running parallel to the building.<\/p>\n<p>Systron was commissioned to design and manufacture a shielding box for the device in order to reduce the magnetic field changes to significantly &lt;1 \u00b5T.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-994 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-full'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Abschirmung-800.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Abschirmung-800.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full landscape\" alt=\"\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-1-807\" srcset=\"https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Abschirmung-800.jpg 800w, https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Abschirmung-800-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Abschirmung-800-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<figcaption class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-1-807'>\n\t\t\t\tShielding around mass change analyser with precision balance\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Measurements after installation of the annealed Mu-metal shielding show that the near-DC fields could be reduced by a good 99% and thus to &lt;200nT.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-2' class='gallery galleryid-994 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-full'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Messwerte-900.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"418\" src=\"https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Messwerte-900.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full landscape\" alt=\"\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-2-809\" srcset=\"https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Messwerte-900.jpg 900w, https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Messwerte-900-300x139.jpg 300w, https:\/\/systronemv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Straumann_Messwerte-900-768x357.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<figcaption class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-2-809'>\n\t\t\t\tMeasured values outside and inside the shielding box\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>According to Straumann, thanks to the shielding box, the analyser can now be operated without interference.[\/systron_generalboxes][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][systron_generalboxes left_general=&#8221;Title&#8221; box_left_title=&#8221;Shield housing for Hamilton MagPip pipetting channel&#8221;]In close cooperation with Hamilton, Systron developed and manufactured a two-part shield housing made of mu-metal around the linear motor of the MagPip pipetting channel.
